Christology is the branch of theology that studies the person and work of Jesus Christ, who He is and what He came to do. It examines His divine and human natures, His role in creation and redemption, and His identity as Messiah, Lord, and Savior. At its core, Christology seeks to understand Jesus as fully God and fully man, and how His life, death, and resurrection accomplish God’s plan for humanity.
